We rope-dropped Disneyland this morning by walking across the street the the park. We only had to wait about 40 minutes though to be let in and headed over to pirates of the Caribbean! It was largely the same, but they kept the “bring us the red heads!” Part of the ride! Got a snack of Mike Washowski melonpan bread! Walked through the castle and got onto Snow White ride and the teacups with Jacob! Hilary and Ben got busted sneaking secret snacks! Got a snack and went to Pinocchio ride. It was great! We don’t have that one in Florida. It was in Japanese. We got a big hero 6 drink and watched a quick parade go by. Then went on beauty and the beast ride they only have here! It was a trackless ride where they put you in a giant teacup/ saucer. It takes you through the story of beauty and the beast. It was amazing. They took you through the big songs from the movie and then the transformation from the beast to the prince and I cannot tell how they did it. It just looked like magic. Brilliant! We hopped on the haunted mansion which was the same as home and the. Headed to lunch at a Japanese restaurant… but it’s in “America town” so it’s an American take on what a Japanese restaurant should be be in Japan. It’s a bit of an inception to figure it all out if I’m being honest. But the food was good and it gave me a chance to.l catch up on my journal. Then Ben and went on star tours. I was the rebel spy aboard! They flashed my picture on the screen. And Jake and Hilary went to Baymax’s ride. But they were cut off by the parade and they got sprayed by the parade with water! We had some alien creature mochi afterwards at plasma ray’s diner! We all went on the baymax ride and everyone was super happy doing choreographed dance moves while on the ride and while operating it. Very fun. Ben was doing all the moves and Jacob was mortified. :) Went back on beauty and the beast a second time and it felt different as we saw different details. Still so impressive. We got an Apple churro and then Ben and I went on splash mountain (they still have the original characters there but in Japanese) … it felt a little smaller than the US version. I had to cross my legs to fit in the log. Be. And I were in front and the girls behind us barely got wet. We were like a shield for everyone. And we went on thunder mountain which was exactly the same! It’s a great classic coaster. One more set of snacks and then went to country bear jamboree! We did a lap on the train and then the tiki room! Tiki room was neat. It was all in Japanese, but they had stitch take over in the middle of the show and made for some interesting changes! I wish they would try that at home in English. We found our restaurant for dinner in the middle of the bayou. It’s actually overlooking the beginning of the pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was a very nice meal! Steak and bourbon chicken. And beignets for dessert! Like Ben said… when Ben finds out there are beignets, he says “yay!” We found a mug for Hilary from Tokyo! Hard to find as mugs aren’t as popular as tea or bowls. We found our spot for the electric light parade. We got a front row seat on the curb to see the whole thing and there were so many beautiful lit up floats! Great way to end our day! We walked back to our hotel( a nice perk of staying across from the gate) passed out.
