We packed up and made our way to the train station and got on the joyful train to Shimoda. 

The train was gorgeous and looked like first class airplane seats with giant glass windows we could watch the scenery go by.  

The front looked like a power ranger helmet.  

Took a cab to our hotel.  Gorgeous view of the ocean and pools.  Went to a shop and bought towels and rented umbrellas. Headed across the street to the beach!  Really nice and peaceful.  Very low waves. Soft sand.  It was Windy so I put umbrella up but had to create a makeshift umbrella anchor. 

We went for a short walk as well, then checked out the pool. It was close to the end of the day but we sat for a bit and took a dip in the pool too.  

Got to our rooms and saw a great view from our windows. We went to dinner and had abelone (big clam) and lobster half. 

And lots of good food. They gave us two tables! We did a little laundry to wash our bathing suits.  

Back to the rooms and called it a night.
