We got up at 3:30 am to get to the airport by 4:00 am. I'm not sure why we got a room at all, if we're just going to leave so soon. :)

After a brief stopover in Burbank, California, and a five-hour (and a two hour) flight later, we were landing in Oahu!

The airport wasn't that crowded so it was easy to get our luggage and be on our way! We rented a convertible! It's a silver, brand-new Chrysler Sebring. We got a deal where it was only $10 extra! It's made all the difference in the world here!

After getting settled in the gorgeous hotel, we made it to the ocean! It's as calm as a lake! It's really good for Hilary! The water's really warm and blue, too.

We took a nap on the beach, went for a stroll, and ate lunch at an over-priced sit-down restaurant, overlooking the beach.

We made our way into the hot tub overlooking the ocean. I even met some friends: Mark, a pharmaceutical sales rep for Novartis and his friend, Meg.

We had a couple over-priced drinks and then we got changed and went exploring the village. We found a few finds, but for the most part, all the stores are much more expensive.

Oh! I forgot! When I was getting ready to go out, two maids came in the room for a nightly turndown service and I answered the door in a towel and asked her to come back in two hours. They got all flushed and said "Two hours? Wow! Do you want and water or mints?" They didn't come back that night.
